The Coasters Car Club 30th Annual Sleepy Hollow Rod Run and Show ‘n’ Shine is scheduled for August 7 & 8, 2026.

The three-day event held in Sechelt, BC, also known as the “Festival of the Rolling Arts”, hosts classic cars, hot rods and specialty vehicles.

Rod Run

Kick off a weekend of classic cars, community spirit, and family fun at the annual Rod Run.

The event begins Friday afternoon at Hackett Park, where participants can register from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM for the Rod Run to Halfmoon Bay. Participants are invited to a complimentary corn roast before the cruise begins. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with local car enthusiasts, meet visitors from across the region, and admire hundreds of incredible vehicles.

At 6:15 PM, more than 450 classic and custom cars set out on the scenic 30 km cruise from Sechelt to Halfmoon Bay, escorted by local RCMP. Along the route, thousands of spectators line the streets to cheer on the drivers, creating an unforgettable atmosphere that has become a signature part of the event.

Residents go all out to welcome participants, decorating their properties, creating signs, dressing in costumes, and gathering with friends and neighbours along the roadside. Lawn chairs, family barbecues, and community celebrations transform the route into one giant street party.

Whether you’re bringing a vehicle, watching from the sidelines, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, the Rod Run is a Sunshine Coast tradition that celebrates classic cars, community connection, and small-town hospitality.
